A padded set of fixed side supports for the R82 x:panda, supplied with covers. Side supports control lateral lean, and for a child with a scoliosis or a strong pull to one side they are often the difference between sitting upright and collapsing into the arm of the chair.
The padded version gives a broader, softer contact surface. That matters when a support is working hard against real force, because the load gets spread across the ribs instead of concentrating on a narrow band. For a child with fragile skin or a bony trunk, the padding is what makes the correction tolerable for a full day.
Both height and width adjust, so you can set the supports at the level where they give the most correction and bring them in over time as tone or shape changes.
