A retrofit kit that adds a central brake to a Wombat Living that was supplied without one. The brake works on the front castors and locks them together from a single point, so a carer can secure the chair with one movement.
It is worth adding where the chair is used on a sloping floor, in a classroom where it gets bumped, or where transfers are done with a hoist and the base has to stay still. It also helps when equipment is mounted on the chair and the whole thing needs to be parked reliably.
The kit is fitted to the existing frame, so the chair the user is already settled in does not have to be replaced.
