The front hip support sits across the front of the pelvis and holds it back against the frame. It is the part that stops a child pushing forward at the hips, which is common where extensor tone builds through a stand.
Holding the pelvis in a neutral position lets the legs take weight through the line they are meant to, and keeps the trunk from folding over the support. Height and width adjust, so the pad can be set against the pelvis and kept clear of the abdomen. Sizes run across the Rabbit Up range.
It is simple for a carer to use day to day: the pad swings clear for transfers and comes back to the same setting afterwards.
