Bathing a child who needs full support is hard on a parent’s back and hard on the child if the bathroom is cold and cramped. The R82 Orca is a deep moulded bath tub on a height adjustable wheeled frame, so the bath comes up to the carer.
The tub has smooth rounded edges and room for the child to move, and one side is left clear so a carer can stand or sit close in. Four smooth running castors let you move it with water still in it, and the plug and drain pipe empty it quickly. The frame comes apart for storage or to move between houses.
It takes the R82 Penguin or Flamingo bathing seat when a child needs head and trunk support in the water, and the surfaces wipe down for infection control in shared settings.
