Some children using a Mustang gait trainer need somewhere to rest without coming out of the frame. The sling seat clips to the chest support and gives them a soft seat they can drop onto when their legs tire, so a walking session can carry on in short bursts, and it does not have to end at the first sign of fatigue.
The sling is fabric, so it takes up almost no room on the frame and stays out of the way when the child is walking. Two sizes are offered, matched to the small and medium chest support, and the seat is fitted by the same mounting as the support itself.
For a therapist building walking tolerance, it makes the gait trainer usable for longer sessions and gives the carer a safe place to pause.
