Standing starts at the pelvis. The R82 Meerkat Pelvic Support is the padded strap that holds the pelvis against the Meerkat frame in a neutral, upright position, giving the chest and knee supports something stable to work above and below.
It tightens with a ratchet, so a carer or therapist can snug it up after the child is in the frame instead of setting it blind. A front security buckle stops it opening by accident. The padding sits soft against the body while the strap pulls firm against the frame, which is the combination you want for a child who tends to flex at the hips or shift to one side in standing.
Sizing is by pelvic circumference, so measure before ordering and aim for the middle of a size range with room to grow. It is a Meerkat part only, so a child on a different stander will need the strap made for that frame.
