A child who can bear weight in a Meerkat but cannot hold their trunk steady will not last a full standing session without support above the pelvis. The R82 Meerkat Chest Support is the part that fixes that: a padded strap that wraps the chest and closes with a buckle at the front.
It tightens with a ratchet, so the support can be set with the child already standing in the frame rather than fitted beforehand and guessed at. It slides onto the Meerkat centre column like the other Meerkat supports, and the front buckle secures against unintended opening. An optional padding kit fits over the ratchet straps of both the chest and pelvic supports for children who are sensitive to the strap edges.
Sizing is by chest circumference, measured at the widest point. A child with good trunk control who only needs pelvic stability may not need the chest support at all, so it is worth checking in standing before ordering.
