When a Heron is tilted or reclined for hair washing or personal care, the lower legs need somewhere to rest. This strap runs behind the calves and stops the legs swinging back off the footplate as the chair moves through its range.
It gives the client a settled lower limb position, which keeps the pelvis where you set it and stops the feet dragging on the floor during height adjustment. For the carer it means fewer interruptions to reposition legs part way through a routine.
The strap is simple to clip on and off for cleaning, which matters on equipment that lives in a wet bathroom.
