Lateral pads take a beating. They get sat against all day, cleaned constantly, and outgrown. The R82 Curved Lateral Cushion is the replacement contact pad for the lateral trunk support arms on R82 seating such as the Kudu, Heron and x:panda, so a worn or too-small pad does not mean rebuilding the whole support.
The curve wraps around the ribcage, which spreads the contact across the side of the trunk instead of leaving a hard edge sitting on one point. It comes in three sizes and in black, blue and grey to match the R82 upholstery, with a grey option for the Heron.
It suits a child or young adult already in an R82 chair whose pads are worn, soiled past cleaning, or too short after a growth spurt. The largest size gives a longer contact area for an older child or a client with reduced trunk control. If no lateral support is fitted to the chair yet, the swing-away support hardware is ordered as well.
