A padded strap that runs behind the lower legs on the Cricket, for a child whose feet slide back off the foot plate.
When the legs drift rearwards the feet come off the plate, the pelvis rolls, and the child slumps forward in the seat. Catching the calves is usually all that is needed to hold the lower limbs where the seating was set up to have them, and the rest of the posture holds with them.
It is soft against the leg and quick for a carer to fasten, so it does not add a difficult step to getting the child into the chair.
