The head plate is the mounting surface the Caribou’s head support attaches to, and it gives the back of the head a defined area to rest against when the frame is tilted back. For a child who stands in a reclined or supine position, that surface is what makes the position holdable.

Children with limited head control need the plate close to correct before any padding is added, because the pad can only work where the plate puts it. Getting this part sized right gives the therapist a stable base to build the rest of the head positioning on, and it gives the carer a setup that stays put through a session.

Two plate sizes are supplied to cover the smaller and larger Caribou frames.
