The toybar mounts on the plastic tray and holds toys, switches, rattles or sensory items up in front of the child at standing height, where they can be seen and reached.
For a child with limited reach or limited hand function, items sitting flat on a tray are often out of play. Bringing them up onto a bar puts them in the visual field and in the arc the child can actually get to, which turns standing time into active time.
It is also useful where a child needs a reason to stay upright. Something to swipe at, look at or activate usually buys more minutes in the frame than encouragement does.
