The chest strap is a positioning accessory for the R82 Caribou standing frame, used to hold a child securely against the support surface while they stand. It gives extra support at the chest for a child with limited trunk control, so standing time can be extended without the child sliding or listing to one side.
It can be mounted straight across the front between the two side support pads, or threaded along the inside, under the pad holders and back around the child, which draws the strap in closer and gives a snugger fit. That second option is worth knowing about for a child who needs firmer containment.
Like the rest of the Caribou accessory range, it changes over quickly, which matters when a frame is shared between children in a school or therapy setting. This is the size 2 strap.
