Toileting and personal care are the transfers that most often go wrong, and the ProSling Hygiene Sling is built for exactly that job. It is open from the mid back to the mid thigh so clothing can be managed and hygiene attended to while the client stays supported in the hoist.
Padding runs under the arms and around the midsection, which keeps pressure off the ribs and the inner thighs during the lift. A hook and loop strap closes across the body for added security, and the mesh fabric dries quickly after a shower transfer. It is a sitting sling only, so the client needs enough trunk control to be lifted upright, and a clinical assessment should confirm that before it goes into a care plan.
The size range covers small builds through to bariatric clients, so one sling type can run across a whole service.
