This is the head support version of the ProSling General Purpose, for a client who cannot hold their head up through a transfer. The head section is built in rather than clipped on, so the client is supported as one piece from head to thigh, and the sling will lift from a chair, from a bed or from the floor.
Three loop straps on each side give a range of positions from upright seated through to reclined, so the carer can set the angle that suits the client and repeat it. The straps are colour coded by size and the handles are bright, which takes the guesswork out of picking the right sling and the right loop in a hurry.
The fabric is polyester mesh, so it dries quickly after a shower and takes a hot wash. That is the reason it does well in facilities where slings turn around fast between washes. Quilted foam in the leg sections spreads the load under the thighs.
It suits a client who needs full hoist transfers and has no reliable neck control: after a stroke, with advanced dementia, or with a neurological condition. A client who can hold their head up and needs easier toileting access will get better clearance from the general purpose sling without head support, or from a dedicated toileting sling.
