Not every client will accept a mattress that hums all night. The OSKA Aria+ gives you pressure care with no pump at all: five transverse air cells inside a foam U-shaped core, adjusting to the client’s weight and position every time they move or are repositioned.
The foam side walls stay firm, which is the part clients notice, because sitting on the edge of the bed to dress or to transfer does not sink them into the surface. There is a foam head section and a heel relief zone, and a vapour permeable waterproof cover with welded seams over the core. Nothing to plug in, nothing to trip over, nothing to explain to a night carer.
Who it suits
Clients at medium to high pressure injury risk nursed at home or in residential care, particularly those who still move in bed and who transfer from the bed edge. If a client’s risk climbs later, the Aria+ pump can be added to the same mattress to take it into category 3 and 4 use, so the first purchase is not wasted. For an existing category 3 or 4 injury, add the pump from the start.
