Active manual chair users who count every gram will look at this one first. The shell is a single piece of high modulus carbon fibre, so the back adds very little to the chair while still carrying deep lateral contours at the thoracic region.
The contours are depth adjustable, which means mid line support can be brought in for a client with a lean or opened out where the trunk is broader. Pelvic positioning is held at the same time, so the client is not trading trunk support for a pelvis that slides. A scapula cut-out keeps the shoulder blades clear for pushing.
The cushion is dual density foam with gel infused visco through it to keep the surface temperature down, and the cover is a breathable antimicrobial stretch fabric that comes off for washing. Quick release mounting lets the client or carer pull the back off for a car boot.
