The Helio Kids C is the carbon fibre version of Motion Composites’ folding paediatric chair, and it is aimed squarely at children who want to keep up. Carbon fibre gives a frame that is very light and still exceptionally strong, which is the right combination for a child who is learning to push and cannot afford to waste energy.
Carbon also damps vibration, so footpaths, playground surfaces and school ramps come through the frame more gently. The one piece side frames and symmetrical cross brace keep the chair rigid where rigidity helps propulsion, so the energy a child puts in comes back as movement rather than frame flex. It folds for the car like its aluminium sibling.
Seat width and depth, back height and angle, front frame angle, seat heights, camber and centre of gravity are all specified on the order, and the colour options are bright by design.
Where budget is the deciding factor, the aluminium Helio Kids A covers similar ground at a lower price.
