For a client with a slim lower leg, the small knee support gives closer contact across the shin and a steadier base through the stand. It is supplied complete with the bracket and the pads for the Molift Quick Raiser 1 and 2.
The pads adjust for height on the bracket, so you can set them below the tibial tuberosity and avoid pressure on sensitive bony points. Each pad can also be turned around to alter the shape presented to the leg, which helps when a client has uneven muscle bulk or a contracture.
Once the knees are supported correctly the hoist follows a natural standing arc, and the carer spends less time repositioning the client mid-transfer.
