This is a foam mattress base made with recesses, or ovens, that hold Roho air cell sections. It suits a client who needs Roho pressure care under the parts of the body most at risk while the rest of the mattress stays firm foam, so the surface is not floating the whole body when it does not need to be.
The base takes up to four Roho sections, so the air cell coverage can be set to the client: head to toe where the risk is high, or concentrated at the pelvis and heels where it is localised. The foam around the recesses keeps the edges firm, which helps with transfers on and off the bed.
Because the sections lift out, a Roho unit can be replaced or serviced without changing the whole mattress, and the configuration can be reviewed as the client’s skin integrity changes.
