The parking handbrake locks a Marcy walker so it stays put. Transfers are the obvious use: the frame holds still while the child stands into it or sits down out of it, and the carer has both hands free for the child.
It is just as useful when the child is standing at a bench, a sink or a table doing something with their hands. The frame stops creeping forward, so the child keeps their position and the activity gets finished.
The brake is set at the handle and is supplied in sizes to match the Marcy frame, so it can be specified with a new walker or added to one already in service.
