The Kidsflex is a special purpose car seat for children who need postural support in a vehicle and cannot be transported safely in an ordinary restraint. It fits on the rear seat of most cars and uses the existing three point seat belt, with the belt guide able to be set up behind the driver or the front passenger.
Support comes from a five point harness with an impact pad and shoulder padding, an integrated headrest, adjustable seat depth, thorax pads that swing clear for loading, and a backrest angle that sets steplessly. This package is supplied with the left hand swivel adapter, which turns the seat outwards toward the door so the child can be loaded and secured without the carer twisting into the footwell. That is often the thing that decides whether a family can keep transporting their child safely as they grow.
The Kidsflex has been independently assessed through the Australian Safety Assessment Program. Covers are removable and washable.
