The K Care Swan Neck Cane is a single-point stick with an offset shaft. The bend sets the handle directly above the tip, so load travels straight down the stick, and most users find that steady under the hand.
The shaft is anodised aluminium with push-button height adjustment, and a wrist strap is included. It is fitted with the K Care Steady Tip, whose sloped edges keep more rubber on the floor when the stick is planted at an angle, which is what actually happens through a step. Five anodised colours are made, so a client can have something they will carry rather than leave at home.
Who it suits
A client who needs light single-point support for balance or to offload a painful hip or knee, and who has the grip and wrist strength to use a standard handle. It is a first walking aid for many people after joint surgery or with mild instability.
