Active wheelchair users often sit close to the limit of what their transfers and their under-desk clearance allow. The reduced profile JAY Fusion Cryo is built to sit low in the chair while still carrying a cooling fluid insert, so skin protection does not come at the cost of seat height.
The Cryo fluid does the work that foam alone cannot: microbeads of paraffin wax absorb heat from the skin and hold the seated surface in a cooler range through the day, which takes one of the risk factors for tissue damage off the table. The pelvic loading area suspends the ischial tuberosities in fluid, and the stretch cover cuts shear during transfers and reaching.
It is a sensible choice for a client who self-propels, transfers independently, and has skin you would rather not gamble with.
