The JAY Focus Point is a contoured back for clients who need real postural work done, not just something to lean on. It is a three piece design on a reinforced aluminium shell, with multi-adjustable lateral wings for thoracic support and a pelvic wedge that holds the pelvis back in the seat.
That combination is useful when a client keeps sliding into a posterior tilt or listing to one side through the day. The wedge gives the pelvis something to work against, and the laterals can be set in and out and up and down as you find the position that holds without over-restricting.
Because the shell is rigid and contoured, the support stays where you set it and does not soften off as the day goes on, which helps carers who are repositioning a client several times between transfers.
