Clients in tilt-in-space chairs put load through the back in a different way, and they tend to be the clients with the most complex trunk shapes. The Fit 2U with tilt hardware is made for exactly that pairing: an adjustable contoured back mounted on hardware designed to carry the loads a tilting chair puts through it.
The contour itself is built from interlocking dovetail foam inserts, added or removed in layers, so you can accommodate a rotated trunk or a fixed curve and then adjust it again at review. Rotational swing-away laterals let you bring support in close to the ribcage and swing it clear for transfers.
Height and width adjust independently on the shell, and the dual cover system keeps the foam protected while the outer cover goes in the wash. It also takes WHITMYER head supports and JAY anterior trunk supports, so the whole trunk and head setup can be built on one shell.
