Children are not small adults. The Matrx Mini is designed for paediatric use from the start: a contoured, low profile back in narrow widths and short heights, in a Kid*ab*ra print that most kids are happy to be seen in.
Growth is built in. The Mini Set hardware, a scaled version of Invacare’s Easy Set, gives real depth adjustment so the back can follow the child as they grow, along with angle adjustment and mounting pins that will take a chair slightly wider than the back. A quick release makes it easy to strip the chair down for the car.
The cover is water resistant and breathable, and comes off for laundering or for modifications, which matters for a school aged client. The whole unit is light enough that a parent lifting a chair into a boot notices.
