The Matrx E2 is a general purpose contoured back for a client who needs more than a sling back but still has reasonable trunk control. The shell is lightweight ABS with an anatomical shape and a notched sacral cutout, which lets the pelvis sit back properly under the shell.
What sets this one apart is the foam. Ripple foam with airflow channels manages heat and moisture against the back, and a spinal relief area gives the spinous processes somewhere to go, reducing shear on a client who sits all day. A lumbar pad is included so you can build in the support the client’s curve actually needs.
Hardware is pin style, Mini Set on the shorter backs and Easy Set on the taller ones, and it adjusts for height, width, depth, angle and rotation. That range of adjustment is what makes it practical in clinic: you can set it, watch the client sit, and change it again.
The size range is broad.
