Who it suits
Clients at risk of falling out of bed, and clients whose care needs mean staff are repositioning them through the night. The Invacare CS8 is a floorline care bed, so the sleeping surface drops close to the floor to reduce the consequences of a roll out, and rises to a comfortable working height when a carer is attending.
This configuration comes with battery back up, under bed lighting and a nurse control panel as standard. The back up battery keeps the bed working through a power outage, the under bed light gives soft orientation at night without turning on the room light, and the attendant panel lets staff lock out functions where a client should not be adjusting the bed themselves.
An auto regression backrest slides the client’s hips back as the backrest raises, which reduces the shear forces that drive sacral pressure injuries. Linked braking sets all castors from one pedal. The bed profiles the backrest and knee break independently and tilts in both Trendelenburg directions.
