Bariatric seating usually fails at the back. The client needs real trunk and pelvic support, but the support has to span a wide frame and stay comfortable all day. The Matrx Elite Heavy Duty is built for that client: a contoured aluminium shell in wide sizes, carrying high resilience foam that overlaps the shell edges so the client is not resting against a hard rim.
The contour supports the trunk and pelvis while leaving the shoulders free to move, which keeps a self propelling client propelling. A removable lumbar pad lets you tune the lower back support after the client has been sitting in it for a while, and optional lateral trunk supports can be added in fixed, offset or swing away form when midline control needs more help.
The Easy Set hardware adjusts for height, depth and angle on the chair, so you can set the back to the posture in front of you. Cover is breathable and moisture resistant.
