Repositioning a dependent client in bed is where most carer back injuries start. The Immedia SatinSheet 4Direction DrawSheet is the top layer of the Immedia in-bed system, sitting over a SatinSheet BaseSheet so the client can be moved up, down and side to side without the sheet bunching or the carer dragging.
The top face is a cotton and polyester weave that feels like ordinary bed linen against the skin. The underside is satin, so it glides across the base sheet with very little force. That low friction is what protects the client’s skin during turns and what lets one carer do work that would otherwise need two.
