The Butterfly is a long, wide seated transfer board for clients who need a broad, stable bridge between two surfaces: bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to shower chair, toilet or car. The width gives good support under the thighs through the middle of the move, which helps a client who feels unsteady halfway across.
Cut outs sit around the wheelchair wheel and non slip pads underneath hold the board in position, so it stays put while your client shuffles. The board surface is low friction for independent or assisted transfers, and a GlideWing can be fitted over the top where a client is moving on bare skin or has little strength to push with.
The higher user weight rating makes it a practical option for bariatric clients.
