When one partner moves into an adjustable care bed, the other usually ends up in another room. The Icare Companion is the static bed that solves that. Pair it alongside any Icare homecare bed and recessed centre rails close the gap between the mattresses, so the couple share one continuous sleeping surface.
Each bed still works on its own. The care bed can be repositioned, raised for personal care or split away entirely without disturbing the person in the Companion, which is what makes night time care workable for both of them.
The bed itself is a fixed timber frame on a timber slat platform, chosen for durability and airflow. The base sits at a low fixed height that is easy to enter and exit, and there is clearance underneath for mobility aids. Leg options include castors or glides at several heights, and it takes Icare headboards, footboards, over bed tables and poles.
