It cushions contact with the frame and closes the gap around it, which reduces the chance of an arm or leg slipping through. The Zerotec fabric is waterproof and wipes down, so it copes with everyday spills and routine cleaning in a home or a care setting without coming off the rail.

It slips on and off for washing days, and fabric slip covers are available if the client would rather it blended with the bedroom.
