Who it suits
A perching stool is for the client who can stand but cannot stand for long: someone breathless at the sink, fatigued partway through a shower routine, or unsteady after a few minutes on their feet. The seat is set high and tipped slightly forward, so the person is part way to standing already and the hips and knees are not asked to work through a full sit to stand.
This model has a padded backrest, which changes how long the client can stay there. With support behind them they can rest properly at the bench or the basin, so a task that used to be abandoned partway through gets finished in one go.
The legs adjust with pin clips and sit on non slip feet, and the frame folds for storage in a small bathroom or for transport in a car boot. The seat and back are vinyl covered, so spills wipe off. This stool is for dry areas, not for use in a shower or a wet room.
