Tying laces asks for fine finger work, two hands and a good deal of bending. These elastic coiler laces remove all three. They lace through the shoe as normal, then coil against the tongue at whatever tension the client sets, so the shoe can be slipped on and off without ever being retied.
They suit clients with arthritis, tremor, low vision or reduced dexterity, and anyone recovering from hip or back surgery who should not be reaching to their feet. Because the tension is set once, the fit stays consistent day to day, which is useful for clients with oedema who need the fit checked regularly.
They fit ordinary lace up shoes and are supplied as a pair.
