Toileting is where a lot of transfer plans come unstuck. This sling has a large opening through the seat and lower back, so clothing can be lowered and raised and the client cleaned while they stay supported in the hoist.
The leg sections are padded and reinforced, spreading pressure along the thighs through a hold that can run several minutes. An abdominal belt with hook and loop fastening keeps a client with limited trunk control upright and settled. Mesh fabric drains and dries, so the same sling can go into the shower.
It loops onto 2 or 4 point spreader bars, so it fits alongside the hoist or ceiling motor already in the house. The client needs reasonable head and upper trunk control for this design, since the back is left open by intent.
