This is the track a ceiling hoist runs on, supplied in straight lengths with an end barrier built in so the motor cannot run off the end of the rail. It covers straight runs in a bedroom, a bathroom or over a bath, fixed to the ceiling or carried between walls.
The rail is painted white aluminium, so it holds up in wet areas and reads as part of the ceiling. Trolley wheels are plastic and run quietly, which matters in a bedroom at night. Lengths join together and curved sections can be added, so a track can carry a client from the bed through to the ensuite in one uninterrupted movement.
Installation is work for a trained installer, since ceiling fixings, joists and load paths all have to be checked before anything is mounted. We quote rail, fixings and motor together so the plan manager sees the whole cost at once.
