The Handi-Move 2815 L IR puts the motor on a fixed ceiling rail instead, so nothing has to be wheeled around the bed, nothing has to be stored, and the bathroom stays clear for the two people working in it.
Travel along the rail is powered and the whole unit runs from an infrared remote, which means a client with reasonable hand function can raise, lower and move themselves rather than waiting on someone else. For the carer, it takes the push and steer out of every transfer.
The motor carries a high safe working load, runs a long stretch of lifts between charges, and has mechanical emergency lowering plus audible and visual load and battery warnings, so nobody is guessing mid-transfer.
