A clinician who spends the day moving between a client and a bench needs a seat that moves with them. This gas lift stool is a round padded seat on a five-star castor base, with a lever under the seat that raises or lowers it on a gas strut so the height can be set to whatever the task is: a treatment couch, a workbench, a kitchen bench.
The seat swivels a full turn and the castors let the user roll instead of standing up, which saves a lot of small transfers over a shift. Upholstery is vinyl, so it wipes down between clients, and it comes in black, grey or navy blue.
Assembly takes a couple of minutes: the seat, gas lift and base push together.
Who it suits
Allied health rooms, nurse treatment areas and podiatry or wound care clinics where the clinician needs to sit low and move between the client and a bench. At home it suits a client who cannot stand for long at a bench and wants a seat that rolls. It is not a perching or shower stool, and a client with poor sitting balance needs a seat with a backrest and a locking base rather than a swivel stool on castors.
