For a client who can pull themselves up but cannot push up off the mattress. The base slides under the bed and the upright carries a strap and triangle handle over the chest, so the client has something solid to haul on when they sit up, shift across the bed or get ready to stand.
Because it stands on its own, it does not bolt to the bed frame. That makes it an option where the bed has no socket for a pole, or where the bed is a domestic one and cannot be modified. It also comes apart for storage or for moving between houses.
Used well, it turns a two person assist into something the client can start themselves, which protects both their independence and their carer’s back.
