The Etac Relax wall mounted shower seat ships without fixings, because what holds it safely depends entirely on the wall it is going onto. This screw kit is the Etac supplied option for mounting into wood, plywood or concrete.
It contains the screws and plugs needed for the bracket, in stainless steel so they stand up to a wet bathroom over the life of the seat. Using the manufacturer’s own fixings keeps the installation inside what Etac has tested the seat against, which is worth having on file when a folding wall seat is carrying a person’s full weight during a transfer.
Installation should be done by a qualified person who can assess whether the wall structure will take the load. If the wall turns out to be something else, plasterboard with no noggin, tile over brick or a stud in the wrong place, the fixing needs to change with it.
