A client who can still step into the bath but cannot lower themselves to the floor of it needs somewhere to sit at a safe height. This plastic bath seat spans the bath and gives them a firm, stable surface to transfer onto and wash from.
The moulded handgrip is the part that does the work on transfers. It gives the person something solid to pull against as they turn and sit, and something to steady themselves with while a carer manages the shower head or the legs.
The seat is drilled so water drains away and does not pool under the client, and the plastic surface wipes down and dries quickly between uses in a shared bathroom.
