For a client who can still manage a bathroom but no longer trusts themselves to step down into a tub, the Etac Fresh gives them a firm seat across the bath so they can sit, swing their legs over and wash safely. The board spans the tub edges and locks in place with adjustable edge stops, so it stays put through the transfer.
The shape does the clinical work. A wide front edge gives a broad, stable landing zone for a sit-to-sit transfer from a chair or wheelchair, and the narrower mid section leaves room for washing and personal hygiene without the person having to shift position. The surface is non-slip when wet, and four friction linings under the board keep it from creeping on the bath rim. This version comes with the support handle, which gives the person something solid to pull against as they turn and lower themselves.
It wipes down easily and lifts out when the rest of the household wants the bath back.
