The Ella is a standing frame that takes a child from early paediatric standing programmes through to adult sizes, in either prone or supine set up. The kit brings together the base and the supports needed to get a client standing in a correct position.
Who it suits
Children and adults who need supported standing for hip development, bone density, bowel function and time at eye level with their peers. Foot and knee supports adjust independently for angle, height, width and depth, and the pelvic, trunk and head supports move steplessly, so a complex posture can be accommodated in small increments.
Switching between prone and supine takes one tool and a couple of minutes, and the base disassembles with two screws for transport between home, school and therapy. The upholstery comes off and wipes down, which matters when a frame is shared.
