The EasyGlide Oval is a rigid sliding board for moving a person who is lying on their back from one surface to another, bed to stretcher for example, and for bringing someone back up the bed once they have slipped down.
The oval shape and rounded edges let a carer work the board into place and draw it out again without rolling the person onto their side, which is quicker and far more comfortable for someone in pain. The mini size is used seated instead: moving a person further back into a chair, or getting a divided leg sling into position.
Both sizes are moulded polyethylene and wipe down with the alcohol based disinfectants used in shared equipment pools, which suits hospital, aged care and community loan stock. Use it between firm surfaces with only a small gap between them, and remember it is not a substitute for a hoist where a full lift is needed.
