This is the G7 positioning base supplied on its own, for clinics and equipment stores that already hold comfort layers, gel packs or foam inserts and want the structural part of the cushion only. It is the closed-cell foam base with its contoured shaping and deep well, ready to be dressed.
Ordering the base separately is useful when you are replacing a worn base under an otherwise sound cushion, or when you are testing different insert combinations for a client whose presentation is still settling. The firm base is what does the postural work: it stabilises the pelvis, defines the well and gives the thighs a predictable landing point, so the client sits the same way each time they transfer in.
Because it arrives without inserts or a cover, plan the rest of the build before you order so the client is not sitting on an unfinished cushion.
