This is the Dreamline Contour Backrest supplied with fixed mounting hardware, for a client whose back support stays on the chair. Once it is set, the position holds, and there is no release mechanism for anyone to knock out of adjustment.
The back itself is a rigid aluminium shell with integrated lateral support and a bubble contoured face that immerses the trunk and spreads contact across the back. A central channel relieves the line of the spine, and ventilation holes through the foam and shell keep heat and moisture moving away from the skin. The foam is high resilience with a visco elastic overlay bonded on top.
Who it suits
Clients needing postural support through the trunk in a chair that stays assembled: day chairs, powered bases, and any setup where the back does not need removing for transport. Polymer gel inserts can be specified where a particular area needs offloading.
