Heat and moisture build up quickly for a client who sits in one position for hours, and tilt in space users often do. The Multifunctional O2 is supplied here with the Vicair O2 top cover, which covers the upper surface and leaves the base open so air keeps moving through the SmartCell structure.
The cushion is long enough to carry the pelvis and the femurs together, with five compartments looking after the ischials, coccyx, trochanters, pelvis and thigh support. Cells can be added or removed in each compartment, so a client at very high risk of pressure injury can have the loading tuned to their own skin.
It is light for its size, and it washes without emptying the cells, which matters when a cushion is in daily use and cannot be out of service for long.
