The Dyna-Tek Owl is a contoured foam cushion for a client at high risk of pressure injury who also needs help holding the pelvis square. The profiled surface is shaped to cradle the pelvis and spread load away from the bony points, so your client sits in the cushion and stays there.
It is made on a CME foam base with a multi stretch vapour permeable cover that has been treated against fungal growth, and a non slip base so the cushion does not travel across the seat during a transfer. The cover launders hot, which makes it workable for equipment pools and shared use.
At this size it suits a standard chair seat, and because it needs no inflation or adjustment it is a sound choice where the client, family or support workers will not be managing a cushion day to day. It is also fine to use in a static chair as well as a wheelchair.
